Formulation & Development

Formulation and Development is one of the key departments. The main aim of this department is to develop new formulations for human and veterinary use. The lab is equipped with a pilot scale multi-solvent extraction facility. Formulations are an outcome of blend of traditional knowledge combined with latest scientific methods of evaluation. This lab has developed the country’s first aerosol herbal spray for veterinary use. In collaboration with other departments it has produced an excellent human anti-allergic product - NR-A2

Areas of competence

Compatibility testing of active plant ingredients to establish synergy, additivity or antagonism with

reference to a particular biological activity.

Development of appropriate dosage forms which are stable and convenient to administer.

Stability studies of finished formulations to establish the shelf life.

Conducting scale up trials to produce standard operating procedures for commercial production.
