Development of a standardized herbal product for management of non-insulin dependant diabetes mellitus (NIDDM)”. Period:3 years (2006 – 2009). Total project cost is Rs.290 lakhs of which Rs.145 lakhs is funded by Department of Science & Technology (DST) as a soft loan. Remaining Rs.145 lakhs will be met by internal accruals of NRPL.
 
 
“Development of SOP and Pharmacopoeial standards for extracts of ASU drugs”. Period: 1 year (2006-2007) – project almost completed. Total project cost is Rs.10 lakhs which is funded fully by Department of AYUSH as a grant.
 
 
“Development of Quality Control specifications, as per international norms, for 16 Indian Medicinal Plants” Period: 2 years (2006 – 2008). Total project cost is Rs.50 lakhs of which Rs.23.50 lakhs is funded by National Medicinal plants Board (NMPB) as a grant. Remaining Rs.26.50 lakhs will be met by internal accruals of NRPL.
 
 
“Standardization and international commercialization of Bacopa monnieri extract for its cognition enhancing activity”. Period: 18 months (2007 – 2008). Total project cost is Rs.230 lakhs of which Rs.115 lakhs is funded by TIFAC as a soft loan. Remaining Rs.115 lakhs will be met by internal accruals of NRPL.
 
 
“International commercialization of a patented poly-herbal invention and other unique herbal products”. Period: 3 years (2003 – 2006). Total project cost was Rs.795 lakhs of which Rs.275 lakhs was funded by Technology Development Board (TDB) of DST as a soft loan, Rs. 250 lakhs was funded by EXIM bank and the remaining Rs.270 lakhs was met by internal accruals of NRPL. The project has been completed successfully, the product has been launched in USA and the repayment of soft loan has started.
 
     
 
“Development of a novel herbal ectoparasiticidal product”. Period: 3.5 years (2003 – 2007). Total project cost was Rs.49.062 lakhs of which Rs.5 lakhs was funded Natural Remedies and Rs. 44.062 lakhs by Department of Science & Technology (DST) as a grant to CIRG. This project has been completed successfully and a patented ectoparasiticidal product will be launched shortly by NRPL.
