Position Overview

Candidate will be responsible for supporting and executing phytocompound projects, including
isolation, characterization, quality assessment, and supply of phytocompounds. The role also
involves project planning, coordination with internal teams and project students, handling
analytical instruments, and ensuring quality, documentation, and timely delivery aligned with
business and R&D objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Phytocompounds Operations & Business Support

• Execute phytocompound orders and projects within defined timelines
• Plan and manage domestic and international phytocompound initiatives
• Maintain phytocompound inventory, stock levels, and supply continuity
• Support internal and external customer queries related to phytocompounds
• Isolate and optimize phytocompounds and enriched fractions as per project needs
• Support isolation, characterization, and profiling of compounds for NPD (extracts and
  SBPs)
• Perform purity assessment and quality evaluation of phytocompound reference standards
  (PRS)
• Interpret and document spectral data (NMR, LC-MS, IR) and prepare technical reports
• Maintain QA documentation including COA, spectral data, and related records
• Operate, troubleshoot, and maintain analytical instruments (HPLC, Flash
  Chromatography, HPTLC)
• Coordinate AMC activities and ensure uninterrupted instrument performance
• Manage SAP activities for batch creation, lot updates, and PRS inventory tracking
• Lead and support phytocompounds team activities and student research projects

Qualifications & Experience

Education:

• M.Pharm in Pharmacognosy or an equivalent relevant discipline

Experience:

• Relevant experience in phytochemistry, phytocompound isolation, or natural products
  research
• Exposure to pharmaceutical, herbal, nutraceutical, or phytopharmaceutical R&D
  environments preferred

Technical & Functional Skills

• Expertise in phytocompound isolation and characterization techniques
• Hands-on experience with HPLC, Flash Chromatography, and HPTLC
• Working knowledge of spectral interpretation (NMR, LC-MS, IR)
• Experience in method development and optimization for compound isolation
• Proficiency in SAP for batch and inventory management
• Strong documentation and reporting skills
