Position Overview

The role is responsible for executing microbiological analysis and supporting Environmental Monitoring Programs (EMP) across laboratory, production, and Contract Manufacturing Organizations (CMOs). The position also supports microbial risk assessment, method validation, and ensures timely reporting, data integrity, regulatory compliance, and audit readiness.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform microbiological testing of raw materials and finished goods
• Handle samples for R&D and Formulation & Development activities
• Initiate and document OOS results with investigations
• Execute environmental monitoring (EMP) across laboratory, production, and CMO areas
• Trend EMP data and manage deviations
• Ensure EMP compliance of Contract Manufacturing Organizations
• Conduct microbial risk assessments for process changes and deviations
• Align EMP parameters with internal and regulatory benchmarks
• Perform microbiological method validation as assigned
• Coordinate calibration and recordkeeping of laboratory equipment
• Maintain microbiology-related raw data, records, and documentation
• Prepare, review, and update SOPs and support audits

Qualifications & Experience

Education:

• Master’s degree in Biotechnology, Microbiology, Life Sciences, or a related discipline

Experience:

• 2–5 years of relevant experience in pharmaceutical, animal health, herbal, nutraceutical,
  or regulated industry
• Experience working in a quality-driven and compliance-oriented environment preferred

Technical & Functional Skills

• Advanced knowledge of microbiological testing techniques
• Expert-level experience in execution of Environmental Monitoring Programs (laboratory,
  production, and CMO)
• Working knowledge of microbial risk assessment methodologies
• Hands-on experience in laboratory equipment calibration and maintenance
• Practical exposure to microbiological method validation
