Natural Remedies Honoured with CII Award for Domain Excellence in Environment Management

Natural Remedies Private Limited has been honoured with the prestigious CII Award for Domain Excellence in Environment Management, a distinguished national recognition that reflects the company’s unwavering commitment to sustainability, responsible growth, and operational excellence.

The company underwent a rigorous multi-stage assessment under the CII-ITC Sustainability Awards framework, conducted by an independent panel of experts. The evaluation included an in-depth review of disclosures, sustainability performance indicators, management systems, governance practices, and on-site assessments to validate initiatives implemented across the organisation. Following this comprehensive review of environmental performance, leadership commitment, and measurable outcomes, Natural Remedies was selected for the award.

The assessment recognised several key strengths in the company’s sustainability journey, including 100% ISO 14001 certification across all manufacturing sites, GreenCo certification, and an IGBC Platinum-rated green administrative building developed with energy-efficient and sustainable features. The company’s structured management review systems, emergency preparedness measures, and continued focus on sustainable innovation were also acknowledged.

Among the notable initiatives highlighted was the Zero Liquid Discharge system at the Anniyalam manufacturing facility, which enables the reuse of approximately 400,000 litres of water every month. Natural Remedies’ progress in renewable energy adoption was another significant milestone recognised, marked by substantial growth in clean energy usage in recent years and a clear roadmap for further expansion in the future.

The report also acknowledged the company’s plant-based product portfolio, along with its focus on life cycle improvements that help reduce environmental impact while creating long-term value for customers, partners, and stakeholders. These efforts reinforce the company’s belief that sustainability must be embedded across products, processes, and decision-making.
